Martin Polacek, MD, PhD

Dr. Martin Polacek is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specializing in advanced arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He works in the Department of Orthopaedics at Drammen Hospital and performs surgery and patient follow-up at Oslofjordklinikken in Sandvika.

Dr. Polacek studied medicine at Comenius University in Slovakia and completed his specialist training in orthopaedic surgery at the University Hospital of North Norway in Tromsø and Drammen Hospital. He earned his PhD from UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

With more than 16 years of experience in advanced arthroscopic surgery, his clinical practice includes shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization, biceps tenodesis, knee arthroscopy, meniscal surgery, and ligament reconstruction.
