Justin C. Anderson

Justin C. Anderson is Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Tensor Surgical, a medical device company focused on orthopedic sports medicine, soft-tissue repair, and value-based healthcare. He has nearly three decades of experience developing and commercializing orthopedic technologies, with a particular focus on arthroscopic shoulder surgery and rotator cuff repair.
Throughout his career, Mr. Anderson has helped build and scale medical technology businesses across orthopedics, sports medicine, biologics, and digital health. His work has contributed to two IPOs and six successful exits, including companies such as Tornier, Opus Medical, and Oratec Interventions. 

At Tensor Surgical, he is advancing anchorless arthroscopic transosseous repair technologies designed to reduce dependence on suture anchors in rotator cuff and other soft-tissue procedures. Tensor’s TransOs Tunneler platform supports bone-preserving, load-sharing repair constructs intended to improve procedural value by reducing implant-related cost while supporting reproducible surgical techniques. 

Anderson’s leadership is centered on aligning engineering innovation with clinical practicality, patient outcomes, and healthcare-system sustainability. His work has helped drive the development and adoption of modern arthroscopic technologies for shoulder and sports medicine surgery.
